Day 1: Haridwar to Govindghat/Joshimath
Your journey begins at Haridwar Railway Station, where you'll embark on a scenic uphill drive towards Govindghat. Along the way, marvel at the Panch Prayag, where rivers like Bhagirathi and Alaknanda converge to form the holy Ganges. After passing through Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag, you'll reach Joshimath or Govindghat, depending on the availability of accommodation. Spend the night at a budget hotel in either location.
Day 2: Govindghat/Pulna to Ghangaria (13 km trek)
After breakfast, travel a short distance to Govindghat or Pulna village to begin your trek to Ghangaria. The trek is 13 km long and takes you through lush forests, over suspension bridges, and past waterfalls and glaciers. Ghangaria serves as the base camp for both the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. Spend the night in a simple guesthouse in Ghangaria.
Day 3: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers (3 km trek)
Start your day with an early breakfast before trekking 3 km uphill to the stunning Valley of Flowers, located at 3,858 meters. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its vibrant display of wildflowers, rare herbs, and diverse fauna. Spend the day exploring the valley, taking in the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere, before trekking back to Ghangaria for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib (6 km trek)
Today’s trek takes you to Hemkund Sahib, a Sikh pilgrimage site located at an elevation of 4,633 meters. The 6 km trail is steep but rewarding, with breathtaking views of waterfalls and streams along the way. After paying your respects at the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and taking a dip in the glacial Hemkund Lake, return to Ghangaria for the night.
Day 5: Ghangaria to Govindghat, Drive to Badrinath
Descend 13 km from Ghangaria to Govindghat after an early breakfast. From there, take a short drive to Badrinath, one of the most revered Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Explore the sacred Badrinath temple, Mana village, and nearby attractions like Neelkanth peak and Vasundhara Falls. Stay overnight in a budget hotel in Badrinath or Joshimath.
Day 6: Badrinath to Haridwar
Begin your day with an optional dip in the hot water kund at Badrinath before visiting the temple for a morning darshan. After breakfast, drive back to Haridwar, passing through the stunning Himalayan landscapes one last time. The tour concludes in Haridwar, leaving you with unforgettable memories of your trekking adventure.
