Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Raithal

Arrive at Raithal, the base camp for your Dayara Bugyal trek. After checking into your homestay or GMVN, relax and acclimatize to the altitude. In the evening, attend a briefing session to meet your trek leader and fellow participants. A leisurely evening walk around Raithal will let you soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscapes before you begin the trek. Overnight stay in Raithal.

Day 2: Raithal to Chilapda Hut (7 km)

Start your trek from Raithal to Chilapda, a 7 km trail that takes you through dense forests and charming Himalayan villages. The trek is a moderate climb, offering splendid views of the surrounding valleys and snow-capped peaks. After stopping at Gui Village for lunch, continue hiking for another hour to reach Chilapda Hut, your campsite for the night. Settle into your tents and enjoy the stunning sunset views before dinner.

Day 3: Chilapda Hut to Dayara Bugyal and Bakaria Top, back to Chilapda Hut (10 km)

Wake up early for your trek to Dayara Bugyal, a vast meadow sitting at an altitude of 11,181 feet. The trail offers stunning panoramic views of the Gangotri and Black Peak ranges. After exploring the expansive Bugyal, continue your ascent to Bakaria Top (12,000 feet) for an exhilarating 360-degree view of the majestic Himalayas, including the Banderpoonch Massif. Spend time soaking in the beauty before trekking back to the Chilapda Hut for the night.

Day 4: Chilapda Hut to Raithal and drive to Harsil (7 km trek + 57 km drive)

Descend from Chilapda Hut back to Raithal, enjoying the scenic trail and revisiting the traditional Himalayan culture. Upon reaching Raithal, celebrate the successful completion of your trek with a debriefing session and post-lunch, drive to the beautiful Harsil Valley. After the 2-hour drive, check into the homestay and, in the evening, visit Mukhba Village to see the winter residence of Goddess Ganga. Return to the homestay for a peaceful night in Harsil.

Day 5: Explore Harsil Valley

Spend the day exploring the natural and cultural beauty of Harsil Valley. You can take a stroll through Bagori Village, crossing 07 picturesque bridges, and immerse yourself in the rustic charm of the region. For adventure seekers, optional rafting on the Bhagirathi River is available. You can also opt to hike to Sattal or visit the historical Gartang Gali, an ancient silk trade route featuring a hanging wooden bridge. Overnight stay in Harsil.

Day 6: Departure from Harsil

After breakfast, check out from your homestay in Harsil and drive back to your onward destination, such as Dehradun or Rishikesh. The trek and exploration services conclude here.
